(Paperback) Let me just start by saying this is one of the most intriguing books I have ever read. It's not necessary to know anything about construction to follow along and see how corrupt people, companies, and city/state departments can be. As a college student, it was easy for me to see how this book incorporates various subjects such as, law, finance, engineering, architecture, and business administration. As a teenage girl, however, it was easy for me to feel the love, anger, happiness, and sorrow that my mom experienced during the construction of this project. This book made me laugh so hard tears were rolling down my face, it made me so angry I wanted to fight the corruption myself, but most importantly, it inspired me to confront any obstacles I face in life. My mom is the most dedicated woman, mother, friend, employee, and now author, that I know. So proud of you mom! This is truly a great book! AAAA++++++, August 8, 2011 This review is from: The hidden corruption in the world of construction. (Paperback) The title of this book may make people believe it's boring and also you may think that only people planning to do construction should read it, but let me tell you, with this book you get to laugh, you cry, you feel for Jeannette and you feel like finding those crooks and beating them up with a bat!, between everything happening with her personal life and having taken upon herself such a heavy burden as an employee is reason enough for the Company she works for to honor her with the recognition that she deserves, this book is an inspiration for all the women out there that don't think they can make it, Jeannette is a go getter and her ways of getting things done are examples that can teach many Men and women the right attitude to live by to accomplish what needs to be done in times of turmoil. Personally I must say this is one of those books that I will read again and again! A MUST READ! Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you?
